Membership of the Central Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry is open to all organisations operating in the Central Coast municipal area of Tasmania. The Chamber also welcomes and encourages membership from businesses outside the region that have commercial connections in the Central Coast.

The Chamber is a vibrant voluntary network of local business people, that provides a united voice for regional issues, creating greater impact and increasing opportunities to achieve common goals. As well as the benefit that networking and sharing experiences can bring, the Chamber offers you the following opportunities exclusive to members.

TCCI Blue Membership: All Central Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry members receive a base level membership (currently Basics) of the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Steadfast Taswide Insurance Brokers: As a member, Steadfast Taswide Insurance Brokers can offer an exclusive service charter and will waive their brokerage fees for Chamber members during this financial year.

Goodstone VIP Card: As a Chamber member you will be issued a Goodstone VIP Card. Cardholders are offered varied discounts across accommodation, meals and drinks (both over the bar and in bottle shops) at Goodstone properties. Your details will be passed on to the Goodstone Group, who will issue your VIP Card along with current discounts applicable.

Participating member specials: Many Chamber members offer loyalty programs or specials to Chamber members. Please enquire with each member for their offer.

Free Wi-Fi: The Chamber in partnership with Central Coast Council offer a free Wi-Fi service in the main streets of Penguin and Ulverstone. The free Wi-Fi is available between the hours of 6am and 10pm and individual users are limited to one hour of service, followed by a one hour break. Annual Business Awards: The Chamber hosts the annual Central Coast Business Awards presentation evening. The annual awards are held to celebrate and showcase excellence within the business community.

Sponsorship: The Chamber offer sponsorship to valuable community events that seek to benefit the region’s economic development. By being a member, your business is supporting these local events and gaining the roll on effect of these occasions.

Promotions Officer: With a dedicated Promotions Officer, the Chamber ensures that members are provided with clear and consistent information. The Promotions Officer adds a professional aspect to the delivery of the Chamber’s brand and message.

Committee representation: The Chamber represents its members on various community committees, to ensure the business community’s voice is heard. Members are able to pass on any concerns or questions to the Chamber committee and have these issues expressed at the appropriate committee. Committees the Chamber currently has a representative on include community safety, tourism, retail, youth and manufacturing. The Chamber President and Vice President also meet regularly with the Mayor and General Manager of Central Coast Council and can represent your concern directly to Council.

Advocacy: The Chamber has a long and proud history of representing the business community and through that knowledge and experience have built a network that provides members with introductions to all levels of government, their agencies and the broader business community throughout Tasmania.

Chamber newsletter: A monthly email newsletter is distributed by the Chamber to keep members informed of legislative changes as well as activities amongst its member base. Plus, you will receive a range of other opportunities and news updates via this database.

Chamber website and social media: The Chamber has an updated website, listing and linking all members. The website provides a range of resources and is a local site available to promote information on behalf of the business community. The Chamber also operates an active Facebook page that promotes various business opportunities and uses this medium to share information on behalf of their members.

Business database: With more than 100 business members, the Chamber has an extensive email database to communicate with. As a member, this database can be at times utilised to communicate a message from your business.

Chamber Alliance: Our Chamber has a great working relationship with the Burnie and Devonport Chambers and collectively the three Chambers lobby for the greater good of the North West Coast. Our Chamber is also a founding member of the Tasmanian Chamber Alliance which draws its membership from regional Chambers around the State and the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This Alliance provides member benefits arising from a single voice on state matters, cross-chamber member benefits and strong links to the Tasmanian Government.
